Do the barbell collars come with the barbell?
We are pleased to inform you that with every barbell purchase, we include a pair of spring barbell collars at no extra cost. These collars are essential for holding your weightlifting plates securely on the bar, ensuring that they do not slip or fall off during your workout. This not only protects you but also safeguards the other equipment in your gym.
In addition to the spring collars, we also offer Premium barbell collars for sale. These collars are specifically designed to fit standard 2" barbells and EZ bars. Made from durable ABS Injection Molded material, they feature a robust clamp mechanism that stays securely closed regardless of the drop. Each collar includes two rubber grip pads inside to ensure the weights remain firmly in place. With a longer lifespan and superior performance compared to spring collars, these Premium collars are an essential tool for any serious weightlifter, providing enhanced safety and reliability.

What is the difference between the different plate options?
Both plate options have there key attractive points which are outlined below:
Cast Iron Plates:
- Cast iron plates are made from solid iron and are a more traditional type of weight plate used in strength training.
- Cast iron plates are thinner than bumper plates, which means you can fit more weight on a barbell.
- They are not designed to be dropped from overhead, as they can crack or break, potentially causing damage to the floor or the plates themselves.
Bumper Plates:
- Bumper plates are made from rubber, with a metal insert in the center.
- They are designed for Olympic weightlifting and CrossFit-style workouts where the weights are frequently dropped from overhead, such as during cleans, snatches, and overhead lifts.
- Bumper plates are more shock-absorbent than cast iron plates, making them safer for dropping from height and reducing the risk of damage to the floor or the plates.
